Every grip you’ll ever need

Whether it’s shaking hands, holding a broom, or using utensils, the flexible fingers on the TASKA Hand deliver secure grips for a wide range of situations and objects. With a library of 18 preconfigured grips and the ability to store an additional 5 customised grips using the MyTASKA app. Whatever the task, TASKA has it covered.

Some of the more common grips you will use for most of your daily activities include:

General Grasp

Quickly and intuitively grasp a variety of objects. Configured as the default grip of the TASKA Hand, you will be able to grab most objects with this grip, such as toys, glasses, and mobile phones.

Tripod Grip

This grip focuses on single digit movement to keep grasping simple and predictable. Two fingers and the thumb form a tripod to pick up items that require more stability than the Pincer grip (which utilises just the thumb and the index finger). With this grip, you can hold small objects and food, like an egg.

On the video below, you can see how the General Grasp and Tripod Grip can be used to grab several toys of different shapes and sizes from the floor:

Key Grip

Utilise the strength of the thumb to securely hold anything thin or flexible like zips, shoelaces or bedsheets. This is the ideal grip for putting on your socks, holding a key to lock or unlock doors, and zipping up a hoodie or jacket.

Flexitool

A versatile grip that allows you to wedge utensils between your fingers, offering unparalleled grip security. You can use it for holding cutlery, a pen, or a toothbrush.

See in the video below how the Flexitool is used to hold a pen while writing:

Pointer

Push, point or poke with this handy grip. This static grip has natural resting positions used for supporting objects where dynamic movement is not required.

Pincer

Using only the thumb and the index finger, this grip allows you to be precise and delicate to pick up small objects or turn pages.

Below video shows a TASKA user utilising the Pincer grip to turn pages and the Pointer to assist in reading a book:

In addition to the mentioned grips, your TASKA Hand has a variety of other grips available, allowing you to use specific tools and perform speciality tasks with unique movements, such as the Mouse grip which allows you to operate a computer mouse with ease.

See below video where the user operates a computer mouse utilising the Mouse grip:
